Ancient Egyptians had many celebrations during a year. When will they usually have party? They have party when their food and plants harvest. Food harvests were major events for ancient Egyptians. They usually had many foods, like wild animals and some vegetables such as beans, lentils, and other many kinds of fruits. Guests were welcomed to the parties with garlands of fresh flowers and perfumed water for washing their hands. Musicians and dancers would entry as people ate. Ancient Egyptian musician were known how to play harp and flute since 4000 BC. Double clarinet and lyres were existed since 3500 BC. However, percussion instruments were being created since 2000 BC. According to my research, Egyptian hadn’t create notates for their music. The music of Ancient Egypt had not been recorded, but some people believed that the Ancient Egyptian music has clearly descendant to the modern Egyptian. From my research, I also found that these Egyptian would carved the owner’s name and decorate with some simple pictures of goddess Hathor on their musical instrument. Also, they always have their instrumet covered with animals skin. They would generally dance to the goddess Hathor the goddess of music, when they played music they used lots of the instruments that we use today. They used percussion, like hand-held drums, castanets, bells that were first used during the late kingdom, sistrums, and cymbals- used in temple in Ptolemaic Period. They used wind instruments, like ugabs- straight flutes, made out of wood, they were the first musical instrument they used, hasosra- a trumpet, and shofars- which are goats horns. Lastly, they played string instruments, like Kinnors/ Kitharas- a lyre, first musical instrument they used, harps- made out of hunting bow, and lutes- which were plucked

Egypt Art:

Introduction of Egyptian Art:

Arts are important for Egyptian; they produced objects in stone, copper, gold and wood. They found in tombs of the pharaohs same style for thousands years. They made arrowhead, stone tools, pottery, leather goods and beautiful baskets. They also paint everyday people with lively, lifelike picture. They also like to draw people as animals. For Egyptians, important thing for them are to decorate mummy cases. They think a person's died body has to be preserved to make died person o enjoy death. For Egyptian art, they make some rules about their art. They need to paint clearly, they need to outline first then fill in with color. When they draw people, the need to paint the hands and legs from the side, and shoulders and eyes from the front. But there are also some people who do not follow the rules.

Architecture: Pyramids:

The ancient Egyptian built their pyramid for their king and queen They needed two million stones to built a pyramid and they needed thousands of people to accomplish this job. There are about 80 pyramids in Egypt that are discovered, mostly at in Giza and Cairo. The three largest and best model of these were built at Giza at the beginning of the Old Kingdom. The most well-known of these pyramids was built for the pharaoh Khufu. It is known as the 'Great Pyramid'. They all built in the desert, there were no floodwater came there so work could go on all year without stopping. The Pharoh-From Flickr
The ancient Egyptians had not invented wheels yet when they were building the pyramid, so they used wooden barge and wooden sledge to pull a stone all the way to the pyramid. Ancient Egyptians didn’t want pyramid to be destroy, so they built them out of hard stone . When they finished stone blocking the pyramid, they covered the pyramid with pure gold on the top and white stone limestone for other part.

The great Sphinx is located at Giza, Plateau at the west Bank of Nile River in Egypt. This statue is a half human and half lion. This is the largest mountain statue in the world. It stands 73.5 meters (241 feet) long, 6 m (20 ft) wide, and 20 m (65 ft) high. Many people believe it was built by ancient Egyptian at old kingdom day. It also said the head of pharaoh is symbolized leadership and the body of lion is symbolizes power, so if we combined those two together, then it’ll become leadership and power.

This movie is about different kind and style of Egyptian Art

Kind of Art: Raided Relief:

Relief-depicting-the-funerary-barque-sarcophagus-of-Ramesses-III-Egyptian-Art-302553.jpgEgyptians also create different kind of art. Raided relief is one of the main ways they like to draw. A raised relief is a stone sculpture, you need to carve the background first then the main idea will bump out like 3D. They usually paint raided relief inside temple.

Sunk Relief:

Another king of sunk relief is called sunk relief. Sunk relief is to carved the main idea, but those sunk relief showed out better in sunshine. These stone tombs built for kings and Nobles. The walls of the1519603906_862ebbd5cb_m.jpg tombs painted of what the king liked to do. Some paintings are made on Papyrus, material like paper. The word paper came from papyrus. They also use sink relief on mummy cases, the mummy was a form of a man. On the mummy case, it had symbols, face wig, and jewellery to protect the mummy.

Craftsmen:
They made painted stone statues and relief’s for temples and pyramids. Worked in groups, senior scribe drew a plan on papyrus. It was marked on a squared grid to make copying easier. Statues and reliefs were always painted, although to day most paint wear away. Craftsmen followed a plan on grid, just like sculptors did. They made beautiful things from cooper. They also made jugs, bowls, and pots from about 2300 B.C.

Conclusion:

Overall, the Egyptians were very into art and music in their culture. They invented many types of instrument, dances and art. The are really into their worship, we can see that by the way the invent their musical instruemnt and those pictures they drew. They discovered lots of things that we used today, like pop music, folk music, special dances, and some types of pottery. Their environments helped them find new ways to interact with their culture and people around. On Egyptian art, they have their own syle of drawing a picture. They think only drawing with hands and legs from sides and shoulder and eyesfrom the front are beautiful. There are also some special case in Ancient Egyptian, but most of them think that way.
